Mimosa pudica (Touch Me Not)

 Mimosa pudica commonly called  touch me not, a sensitive plant  ,sleeping grass, a humble plant, an evergreen shrub that  grows to a height of  5 feet  tall  with 3  foot spread.
Medicinal uses of mimosa pudica:

Cancer:
 Mimosa pudica is effective in treating mouth and lung cancer ‘mimosin’ a  alkoloid which is present in the plant that helps to inhibit DNA replication in cancer cells.
 
Diabetes:
 30 ml juice of touch me not can be taken in the morning and evening, helps to decrease elevated blood glucose in the blood.


Hemorrhoids:
8 gm of dried powdered root, added to warm milk and taken at nights for a period of 2-3 months .

Hypertension:
15 ml  juice of touch me not   has to be taken  daily  to maintain  normal blood pressure.

Depression:
Touch me not ,a potent  than tricyclic anti depressant,helps to reduce depression.

Arthritis:
A  thick paste obtained from grinding the whole plant is taken in a piece of cloth is placed over the paiful joint swelling and tied with apiece of cloth to  hold it in a place.This is done a couple of times.
 
Asthma:
Hot water  is added to this juice ,and to be consumed that heips to relieve asthma and asthmatic conditions.

Insomnia:
5 gms of leaves is taken and boiled in a glass of water  for consumption ,to treat insomnia.

Gynecological disorders:
‘’Touch me not’’ plant helps to cure impotence and premature ejaculations.

Other minor uses:

                          Dysentery
                          Burning sensation
                          Inflammations
                          Blood impurities
                          Leprosy
                          Jaundice
                          Allergy
                          Cholesterol  
                          Snake bite.
